Hi guys, sorry to dissapoint you but there are no stories from the live game as it didn\’t run to night. The reason being that not enough players showed up to run a game, we were 4 people who showed up and i would have loved to played shorthanded but the others didnt want to. I ended up going to my friend Miron who lives down here and is the manager of the poker room. We played xbox – Pro evo, where i schooled him for the first 4 matces, and got absolutely destroyed in the last 5, lol. It was good fun though.

I went back to the hotel at about 3 am and put in a 4 hour session online, playing 4 tables of 5/10 nl. I just finished the session a minute ago, and im happy to say i booked another nice win, taking home 3,7k. The games were crazy tonight, very very aggro, and i ran pretty bad the first hour or so, at some point i was down 3k. I was being 3 and 4-bet almost every time i raised and reraised, and i was willing to get the money in light against the aggro players. I got the money in 3 times on the flop where i was at least 3-1 favorite and lost. And another hand i reraised with AA to 145 and got called by 35s which flopped a flush, i got it in on the flop with AA and nut flush draw but missed. Last part of the session i started running much better, won a 2,4 pot with KK vs QQ preflop. And flopped a straight with 57s to crack KK. That put me back to even about, and then people started leaving so i was playing two 3-handed tables and two HU tables, where i did really well, busted both my HU opponents, and profited from both 3-handed tables.

Again, if you guys are interested i can post hand history here from the big hands and explain my thought process, and get feedback from people who might agree or disagree with my plays. Leave a comment on the blog and let me know if you are interested.

Anyways, it\’s 7.20 am now and i should get some sleep, the live game is running for sure tomorrow so i wanna be well rested for that.

Oh and one other thing, i booked a trip to the south african open poker championship which goes from feb 5-10. I will be playing 3 events which are the main event $3700 buy in NLHE FO, side event $550 NLHE FO, and side event $550 PLO Rebuy. Looking forward to that, ive heard there will be som big names in the main event. I know Tony G and some other pro\’s have confirmed their seat. I think it\’s gonna be a blast in South Africa, the weather is hot, the partying is crazy and the women are HOT down there, from what I hear. So if anyone is looking for a nice poker getaway, this is ideal. I\’ve also heard the cash games during the event will be great value.

Okay this became a pretty long post and my eyes are buring. I will put in an online session tomorrow before the live game and do a blog for that.

Hey guys.. Thanks for the private messages, nice to see that people are interested in the blog. It\’s 16.50 pm and i havent been able to sleep since my last blog entry. This is not good as I really wanted to be well rested and fresh for the live game which starts at 9pm and goes til 5-6 am at least. I went to the gym in the hotel and worked out, and been playing online since. On a good note, i managed to book another decent win online taking home about 2k, playing 2 tables of 5/10 nl 6 max, and one 5/10 nl HU table. Was some interesting hands, I defintely ran below expectation as I got my money in very good twice and got outdrawn on for full stacks. lol@donkaments!! Anyways i wont complain over a winning session.If you guys are interested i will post hand histories from the interesting hands in my online sessions, let me know.

I\’m gonna go to the spa and get a massage and try to relax before the game starts. The hotel btw is a 5 star luxury hotel, its really really nice!

Okay.. I arrived in Tanzania yesterday, from Norway where I live. I came down here to play in a cash game that runs every night in the Hotel casino. I thought i would use this blogspot to write about the trip and how things come a long.

I will be playing online during daytime, and the live cash game at nights. I put in a 4-5 hour session when i arrived last night and booked a 3k win at 5-10, 4 tables. A nice start for the online part, lets hope I get a good start in the live game as well. Btw forgot to mention.. the live game is 20-40 NLHE, and the regular lineup should be fairly soft.

It\’s 8.30 am here now, dont know why i woke up so early.. only 3 hours of sleep, so im gonna try to doze off again.

Will write a new update after the live session tonight.
